The Stems Story
Abby Daigle
Our story begins here in Austin, TX with owner + founder Abby Daigle.
Abby was born into a long family line of florists, venue-operators, chefs, planners, and designers who helped shape the Austin wedding + event scene as we know it today. Her family home growing up was the prominent Barr Mansion, a historic estate turned wedding + event destination operated by the family since 1981. The family also owned Green Pastures in South Austin until it was sold and rebranded in 2015 to what we know today as the iconic Mattie’s.
Surrounded constantly by lavish parties, a family of professionals, and a passion to create, she knew the industry was where she was always meant to be. Launching her own career in 2004, Abby combined her breadth of floristry and event styling bringing the Stems brand to life.
“Flowers will always have my heart, but for me it goes way beyond the blooms in terms of what I see when designing an event for our clients.... I see the linens, the details, the draping, the lighting, the furniture selection, the layout... and everything that comes together to complete the look as a whole.”
21 years later, it is the decades of expertise and a commitment to creating a seamless experience for clientele, that allows the Stems team to provide the truly full-service experience we are known for today.
And as for our history, Abby also stepped up as family retired to manage her childhood home, and in 2024 we welcomed Barr Mansion as our sister company with Abby as proud CEO + Owner of both brands.
